The pedal that single-handedly spurred a reverb-based revolution has been given a healthy upgrade. The next-gen BlueSky now features an analogue JFET input, full MIDI functionality, a Tone Shaping function and more. That JFET input is a pretty big deal, since this humble input is supported by a discrete/divided Class-A internal preamp that's been designed to handle instruments with a high impedance curve - like an electric guitar - and is responsible for improved dynamics and an even more accurate response, setting up this pedal for any guitarist, no matter the playing style.

An Improved ARM Processor & Tone Shaping

Significant developments in the smartphone and computing industry now allow multiple tasks to be performed at the same time while consuming far less power. This level of tech has been worked into the design of the Strymon BlueSky V2, so you're getting less power consumption alongside increased sonic detail, and the Tone Shaping function has a big part to play in that detail. The Mod switch toggles between two modulation intensity levels or off, while the newly-added Shimmer pot can be tweaked to create atmospheric effects by layering an octave-up over the original signal, and the Pre-Delay pot grants control over the time it takes for the reverb effect to kick in. So, this is definitely the BlueSky, but even better.
