The Istanbul Agop - XIST Series

The Istanbul Agop XIST Series includes professional-sounding cymbals with friendly price tags, each produced by a mix of traditional and modern techniques. Here, modern refers to special pin lathing on either side of the cymbals, which adds sublime tonal brightness. The maker's hammering techniques have been modernised as well and upgraded into a hybrid machine-based version. Made traditionally, the average cymbal is hammered roughly 4,500 times, while the XIST Series cymbals are in shape after only 1,500. The exact hammering spot and force remains under the control of the cymbal maker, giving each cymbal its own unique sound. The XIST Series cymbals are available in two finishes: traditional or brilliant.
