Because this crash consists of two cymbals, it has a refreshing, powerful sound that decays rapidly. Furthermore, adjusting the sound is very easy, thanks to the 'tension tuning system'. Simply tighten or loosen the wing nut on the cymbal stand, and you can vary between a trashy sound and a bright, more traditional crash sound with much less decay.
