After his older brother took over as the head of the Zildjian company in 1981, Robert Zildjian founded a new company named after his three children, Sally, Bill and Andy (SaBiAn). Sabian Artisan 20-inch Crash Cymbal

First and foremost, this 20-inch Artisan crash cymbal exudes musicality. It has a beautiful dark tone and an even decay that ends with a satisfying shimmer. Twenty inches is quite sizeable for a crash, and that is immediately apparent from its sound. It still delivers a rich and broad sound, but that sound is darker, lower in pitch and more spacious than that of its smaller siblings. It has a relatively short sustain, as the initial attack quickly transitions into a shimmering wash that gently dies out.
