Compared to the 'standard' I Family Series hi-hats, this Mastersound model packs more highs and a brighter ping. That's because Zildjian have hammered the edges of the lower cymbal, a feature the regular version of this hi-hat doesn't have. All I Family cymbals offer a relatively high-pitched and bright sound and have been designed to follow in the footsteps of the successful ZBT Series released a few years back. The name of the series actually stems from the Turkish word 'Ilham', which means inspiration.
