Despite the impressive, darker finish, the Zildjian S Family Dark Hi-Hat has an extremely versatile sonic character and response, setting it up for an array of styles and techniques. Thanks in part to the dark finish, the stick definition is clear and articulate and packs enough presence to pierce through heavier music, while never getting too dominant when playing lighter genres. The mid-length sustain gives way to a warm and lush sizzle while the playability is supple and satisfying. This set of hats has been made from a B12 bronze alloy.
