Designed and built for the lucky few, the Dreadbox Murmux Adept Edition wields a ton of analogue sound-sculpting potential. Inspired by the original Minimoog, the synth that became template for all that followed, the Murmux has a familiar configuration comprised of two oscillators, a filter, envelopes, LFOs and a master section. More surprisingly, it boasts an 8-voice polyphony with two oscillators per voice, and has been put together using nothing but first-rate analogue components for extra fat-and-creamy sound.

The oscillators found under the bonnet not only serve up traditional waveforms but support waveshaping, enabling you to colour the sound in more ways than you might expect upon first glance. Meanwhile, the 24dB filter ensures extremely smooth sound and comes backed up by an additional 6dB low-pass/high-pass, two envelopes, and two LFOs that technically represent nine LFOs (one per voice plus a global LFO). On top of that, you're looking at a BBD chorus and a stereo delay effect with adjustable stereo width. Add it all up, and you get a synth that's clearly made for fully-fledged ensembles rather than simple blips and bleeps.
