Modelled after the RK100 keytar from 1984, the Korg RK-100s is a modern, sleek instrument designed for the stage. Its smooth wooden body has a gorgeous white lacquer finish, so your audience is bound to notice you giving the performance of a lifetime. The RK-100s-WH is powered by six AA batteries and can be worn around your neck like a guitar. Not only is the keytar equipped with the same 37-key keyboard as the MS-20 Mini, it also features two ribbon controllers (a small and a large one), which allow for additional expression like modulation and pitch bends.
RK-100s-WH: sounds
Offering 200 versatile built-in sounds, the RK-100s-WH is equipped with an MMT engine that is able to simulate analogue waveforms as well as more complex formants, noise and PCM waveforms. A built-in arpeggiator makes your playing more energetic and robotic, and there's also a vocoder - use the keytar's audio input to provide a microphone or line signal. It doesn't get much more retro than that! The RK-100s-WH is powered by batteries, but you can also use an optional adapter, which is great if you're using it in the studio. Thanks to the inclusion of a MIDI output, it's also possible to control your plug-ins and sound modules with the Korg keytar.
