Topped with a spruce soundboard, the Islander SMT-4 tenor ukulele delivers masses of volume and clearly defined sound while the mahogany back and sides pack bass-rich presence. Finished with cream binding, white tuning buttons, and a stunning blue abalone soundhole rosette to set off the light wood of the soundboard, this uke bears a classic yet deluxe look. And, when it comes to playing comfort, the okoume neck and walnut fretboard have a snug feel and the longer scale length and larger body of the tenor format will feel at home in larger hands.
