Kali Audio IN-UNF Compact Studio Monitor Set

In the form of the IN-UNF, Kali Audio offer up a unique studio monitor solution. This 2.1 system compiles a subwoofer plus two satellite monitor speakers loaded with a tweeter and a mid-range woofer for a coaxial set-up. What's great about this set is that the reference level is achieved at just 80cm (at 85dB), meaning you can analyse the complete mix without bothering anyone around - hence the name UNF, or Ultra-Near Field. Perfect for smaller studios and rooms, the IN-UNF is part of Kali Audio's Project Independence Series and borrows its mid-range-and-tweeter configuration from the IN-5 and IN-8 Series monitors, keeping the cost low and the audio quality high.

Coaxial Design for Phase-Coherent Sound

In addition to phase-coherent sound, the IN-UNF offers perfectly calibrated audio, courtesy of a built-in DSP chip that reads the room and controls the limiter as well as the crossover frequencies, where the lows are left to the subwoofer unit. The sub has been armed with two 4.5" woofers which have been installed horizontally so that any vibrations can't be transferred to the desk or any other surface that the satellite speakers sit on.
