That way, you can adjust the 1500 watts generated by the Class-D amplifier with even greater accuracy by choosing between normal speaker and monitor mode, for instance.

Intelligently built

The PRX815W's durable plywood cabinet contains JBL's renowned professional technology, including a handmade 15-inch woofer and 1.5-inch tweeter that boasts an enormous range. Depending on the chosen settings (see the specifications), you can have an audio palette that goes from 46 Hz to 20 kHz. One of the first things you're sure to notice once this speaker is plugged in, is how quiet it is. This is because the fan is only activated when absolutely necessary, and the speed of the fan is based on the amount of heat being generated. This speaker is not likely to exceed its capacity thanks to the DBX limiter circuit. All you need to worry about is finding the perfect spot for it when you decide how you want to use it: as a line-array in combination with a sub, placed on a speaker pole, mounted to the wall or ceiling by means of the 12 M10 rigging points, or as a floor monitor.
