General
The American Audio's Sense series guarantees an excellent sound. With its multifunctional casing and light weight, it is the perfect sound system for ambitious PA applications. The SENSE series consists of full-range speakers (8, 12 and 15 inch) and two subwoofers (15 and 18 inch). You can create your own, personal set!
The Sense 8 is the smallest member of the series: it has an 8 inch woofer with a 50 mm voice coil for the low tones. Its 15 inch compression driver has a 25 mm voice coil for the high tones. Because its power of 175 Watt RMS equals a peak power of 700 Watt, American Audio advises to add another 250 Watt of power. This 8 inch speaker has a sensitivity of 93 dB SPL and even a peak sensitivity of 121 dB! The frequency range covers 75 Hz to 21 kHz, which guarantees a good bass and clear, high tones. The lockable speaker connectors provide a high quality of signal reception. M10 bolts are also included. The combination of black textured coating with the powder-coated steel grille and acoustic foam makes a great finish for this speaker.
