General
Take your electro-acoustic guitar sound and vocals to professional recording studio levels with the Yamaha THR30IIA! This THR II Series acoustic combo reproduces sound via two 3.5" Hi-Fi speakers, and you get select one of three authentic-sounding mic models: Condenser, Dynamic and Tube. In addition, Yamaha have included a Nylon setting for use in combination with a classical guitar, and there's even a Flat mode for when you want your sound as pure as possible.
The THR30IIA Wireless: Extensive Options
The THR30IIA features Bluetooth technology so you can stream music wirelessly or control the amp from a distance. Yamaha might've grown tired of cables altogether here, because they also packed it with a Line 6 receiver, meaning all you need is a Line 6 Relay G10T transmitter (not included) for cable-free jamming. Thanks to the built-in rechargeable battery and USB interfaces, you can make recordings on the spot, and as an added bonus, Yamaha throw in a download code for Cubase AI (PC/Mac) and Cubasis LE (iPad).

Déception !!!
Tout pour plaire sur le papier!
Fonction carte son pour s'enregistrer, Bluetooth, différentes modulations, compatible Jack sans fil, effets...
Mais le son est horrible, sans saveur, plat, chimique.
Avec une takamine sc132 (nylon), une godin multiac (nylon) ou une ovation folk, le son sature et se rapproche d'avantage de l'amplification d'une guitare électrique.
Un roland mini cube 5w pour guitare électrique avec une option acoustique a un son 100 fois meilleur.

Deze versterker heb ik voor mijn semi-akoestische ukeleles. Door de nylon snaren klinken de standen 'nylon str' en 'condensor ' het best. De overige standen zal ik niet vaak gebruiken. De klank van deze versterker is verrassend mooi, gezien het formaat. De effecten, te weten reverb, chorus en Delay zijn prima af te stellen en goed te gebruiken. Het volume wordt mede bepaald door het element van de instrumenten. Ik heb een ukelele met een passief element en dan is het niet veel. De volumeknop kan helemaal open en dan nog zullen de buren niet komen klagen. Het geluid maakt dan ook geen enkele indruk
Maar met mijn Enya ukeleles wordt het een ander verhaal... Die klinken geweldig en het volume kan op standje 9 uur maximaal, in verband met de buren. Zelfs een optreden voor een kleine zaal moet goed te doen zijn met deze versterker. Ons ukelele-trio heeft geen drummer, vandaar...
Dat is de reden dat ik de versterker ga behouden. Als ik alleen met een passief element moest werken had ik deze versterker dezelfde dag nog terug gestuurd.
Overigens heb ik ook een semi akoestische ukelele van Flight geprobeerd op deze THR, maar dat was dan weer niet indrukwekkend.
Wel indrukwekkend is de prijs. Mijn Boss Singer 60 was een prettig stukje (240 Euro) voordeliger. Maar in een kleine ruimte doet de Yamaha THR daar beslist niet voor onder. Plus de 5 geheugenplaatsen, de bluetooth mogelijkheden en de app die bijvoorbeeld ook nog compressor mogelijkheden biedt. Via die app kun je ook de zang microfoon prachtig bijsturen. En de versterker weegt niet veel meer dan vier pakjes boter.
Dus stap ik over de forse prijs en ga deze THR behouden en er hopelijk nog lang van genieten.
