The revolutionary Marine Band Thunderbird was the first ever low-pitched harmonica that actually sounded good. Designed to make absolutely certain of the perfect volume level, and to retain a smooth response as well as rattle-free reeds, this harmonica has an entirely reworked reed profile that supports a fast response, even in the lower registers. The first of its kind to come fitted with Hohner's own patented and lacquered three-part bamboo comb, warmth and resonance is assured, and just so you're sure of where it came from, the back has been stamped with the ornate Hohner logo.

The Marine Band Thunderbird: Accessible Playability

Both the cover plates and blow and draw reed plates are secured by Phillips-head screws to ease reassembly following maintenance, and each of the chamber openings and the plate edges have been smoothly rounded to provide excellent playing comfort. Just in case, the Marine Band Thunderbird is fully compatible with Marine Band Deluxe and Marine Band Crossover parts, but to keep it in shop-fresh condition for as long as possible, comes with a breathable protective pouch to keep the effects of moisture at bay while keeping your harmonica free of dust.
