Ik heb dit setje gekocht omdat ik een fatsoenlijk stel in-ears wilde hebben voor tijdens het hardlopen. Ik wilde niet persé zo'n super-sporty type die achter je oren nog eens doorloopt, maar wel bedoeld om zowel mee te sporten èn te gebruiken tijdens live-performance DJ-en. Voor het sporten is setje perfect; even goed kijken hoe 'ie in je oren moet, maar als 'ie zit, dan krijg je 'm ook niet zomaar af. Als 'ie eenmaal zit, voel je 'm eigenlijk niet zitten. Check wel even of je de juiste maat in-ear rubbertjes gebruikt, om geluid van buitenaf degelijk af te schermen.
De constructie van de gekrulde kabel is erg prettig; hierdoor wordt de kabel niet snel strak getrokken.
Als je, zoals ik, af komt van een standaard koptelefoontje van de iPod, dan is dit 100x beter. Zowel hoge als middentonen zijn goed; spraak gedurende muziek is in balans, zoals verwacht. Wat mij vooral opviel is dat de kwalitatief lage MP3's (zoals 160 kpbs & 128 kpbs) gelijk opvallen met dit setje; je hoort (t.o.v. wat ik gewend was) af en toe héél goed de compressie.
Dat is dus eigenlijk een sterk pluspunt van de geluidskwaliteit.
Over de bas ben ik iets minder te spreken, maar ja, 't is ook geen dual-driver. Op het moment dat je het volume van de laptop/iPod/telefoon te hard zet, dan valt de 'boem' tegen. Maar eerlijk is eerlijk; ook dat kun je juist als positief zien; hierdoor is het geluid meer in balans.
Vervorming is vast ook wel te horen bij erg hoge volumes; maar daar zijn mijn oren nog te goed voor, dus ik kies vaak om het volume een tandje lager te zetten... Zelfs met dubstep & trance.
Kortom; eigenlijk kan ik enkel uiterst tevreden zijn over de prijs/prestatieverhouding van dit setje.
