The Player Series Jazz Bass offers dependable, Fender-grade build quality at an attainable price. The light, lacquered maple neck lays down a thick acoustic foundation with a bright, biting edge to round off the meaty output of the pair of mounted Alnico-V single-coils. These pickups give this bass its iconic tone, characterised by a frequency-range wide enough to pack the rhythm section with plenty of punching weight.
The Player Jazz Bass: Classic Tonal Flexibility
The modern-C profile of the satin-gloss finished neck couples with the familiar feel of the 9.5" fretboard radius to support gliding licks as well as driving riffs. Each single-coil has a dedicated volume pot and share a tone pot for a simple yet highly versatile control section that can bend the amplified sound from tight round rhythms to sweet melodic lines with refined presence. Besides exacting tone, this special edition of the Fender Player Jazz Bass has been finished with the lush and complex look of a flamed maple top.
