Freshly crafted in the Ibanez Bass Workshop, the EHB1005SMS is an electric 5-string headless bass that's been built to offer players modern playability and a short, multi-scale fretboard. The unique, fan-like lay-out of the frets not only ensure the perfect tension for the high and low strings, but combine with a scale length that runs form 30 inches to 32 so that even more short-limbed bassists are able to comfortably lay down the bass lines.

The EHB1005SMS: Ergonomic Playing Experience & A Fully Amplified Low-End

It's not just the stable, graphite-reinforced 5-piece neck that's responsible for the undeniably snug playing feel of this EHB Series bass. The ergonomic design of the lightweight body actually plays an equally important role here and can be comfortably hugged. So that the EHB1005SMS tightly and accurately amplifies the entire mid-range in full, Ibanez have mounted two Bartolini BH2 pickups alongside a 3-band EQ with vari-mid switch and balance and volume pots. Conveniently, whenever no equalisation is needed, the system can be simply switched off via the treble push-pull control.
