The Ibanez AFB200 semi-acoustic bass guitar is part of the modern, affordable Artcore Series. As such, this hollow-body bass offers familiar sound, a more than solid construction and masses of playing comfort. The basswood body parts combine with a matching top and a 3-maple maple/nyatoh neck for a mid-rich foundation sound that's characterised by the woody character of a stable ART-1 bridge and an FBT40 tailpiece.
The AFB200: Effortlessly Shapes Super-Rich Bass Sounds
Thanks to 19mm string spacing, the AFB200 gives your right hand enough room to sling punchy bass lines, which in this case stem from two beefed-up, double-coil Classic Elite pickups. These pickups cover an impressive sonic range and, just like the electronics, they're passive to guarantee organic tone when linked up to an amp and come with fuss-free control layout consisting of a single volume pot, a single tone pot and a traditional 3-way pickup switch.

Als je het gewicht van mijn Fender vergelijkt met dit is het een echte verademing. Het was niet mijn bedoeling alleen een lichtgewicht bas te komen. Zelf vind ik de hollow body sound heerlijk om horen. Na wat zoeken en proberen heb ik voor deze afb200 gekozen. Deels omdat ik nog een Ibanez (sr600) heb en erg gesteld ben op de sound en speelcomfort. Afwerking is perfect en met effectenpeda(a)l(en) verkrijgbaar je een heerlijke sound. Prijs kwaliteit is top. Wel even aanpassen aan de short scale versie als je anders gewoon bent maar dat is een bijkomstigheid. Gebruik ze nu steeds voor kleinere optredens . Daar kan ik nu tenminste gans de avond mee door zonder vermoeiende rugproblemen. Voor mij is deze koop helemaal geslaagd.
