Built for speed, the ultra-thin neck has a deluxe five-piece maple and walnut construction and has been bolted on to maximise both the stability and resonance, while the slim nyatoh body keeps things lightweight and snug.

The build of this five-string bass sets up a warm foundation that's packed with just the right amount of definition and is captured with precision by a pair of passive PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups and an in-house developed Ibanez Custom Electronics active preamp. This configuration opens up an impressively wide array of amplified tonal profiles that are scrolled through via a Balancer pot, a volume pot, and a three-band EQ boost/cut control section. And, via the three-way power tap switch, the dual-coils can be split into single-coils and isolated, or the dual and single-coil sound can be blended to triple the range.

Tight Playability

The mounted Accu-cast B125 bridge and set of five oil-bed machine heads don't just keep the tuning solid but come in a Cosmo black finish, striking a seamless contrast with the sleek Pearl White paint-job. The fixed bridge combines with a 34-inch scale length, a jatoba fretboard and a full set of twenty-four medium-jumbo frets to ensure a light playing feel and excellent vibrational transfer, while the set of adjustable saddles support accurate intonation tweaks and effortless string-changes.
