In either setting, the pair of Bartolini BH2 soapbar pickups ensure that the full acoustic sound of this bass is amplified with a clear-and-balanced high-end and a prominent low-end.

Kick in the Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp, and the bass, mids, and trebles can be thickened or thinned as needed while a detailed mid-frequency switch offers more in-depth 250, 450 or 700Hz tweaking. As such, the SR505E has a familiar, lightweight and slim, rounded form, and the bridge has been finished with saddles that can be adjusted by up to 1.5mm in every direction for detailed string-space customisation and a more personalised playing feel.
