The Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor 5 has a body made of European ash that's relatively lightweight and produces a full sound comprised of deep basses and bright trebles. The neck is made of Canadian maple and has been secured to the body using five bolts for optimal stability and resonant transfer. For a cleaner look, there are no position markers along the 24-fret rosewood fretboard, while the two powerful humbucker pickups responsible for delivering the sound to your amp can be split via a mini-switch for single-coil-style output, giving you even more sounds to build your sound on. Sandberg have even outfitted this KT5 bass with an active 3-band EQ that can be switched off whenever passive sound is preferred.

Modern features include the zero fret in front of the string nut which ensures that open strings sound exactly the same as fretted strings. The ability to adjust the bridge saddles in three different directions is another handy feature that supports extremely accurate intonation, action tweaks and even optimum string spacing. The saddles are lockable for the extra stability needed to deliver even tighter sound and, to finish, this Sandberg bass has been granted a set of sealed, self-lubricating machine heads, ensuring more than excellent tuning stability.
