While definitely configured for rock and pop, the wide tuning range of this Tama Starclassic Maple three-piece shell set can be adapted to support pretty much any genre and playing style. The 22 inch by 14 inch bass drum provides the core and is supported by a 12 inch by 8 inch hanging tom and a 16 inch by 16 inch floor tom. The kick drum features a 7mm thick, eight-ply shell while the toms features a 5mm thick, six-ply shell, each made of maple to result in a solid punch, clear attack and big projection.

To give the Starclassic Maple range a more vintage flavour, Tama have finished each shell in a special Duracover wrap which is set off by the classic style of the chrome-plated hardware.
