General

The Stage Custom Birch shell set in Honey Amber with Y.E.S.S. tom holder system is an attractive fusion kit by Yamaha. The shells have special tension rods and are made of birch and provide a universal sound. It consists of a 20-inch bass drum, a 14-inch floor tom, a 10 and a 12-inch tom and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum.

Lugs

The lugs are mounted to the shells with a single bolt, which prevents unnecessary holes and an optimal sound. The tension rods are triple-flanged (1.5 mm) to ensure an open sound and longer sustain. The wooden hoop around the bass drum head gives it a deep tone and the stoppers on the legs provide extra stability.

Y.E.S.S tom mounting system

The optimal sound of this kit is partly due to Yamaha's Y.E.S.S. tom holder system, which allows the toms to resonate freely. It enables you to set your toms at any angle or height and unwanted vibrations is a thing of the past thanks to the central positioning. Çhanging your tom's bottom drum head is easy with this holder - all you do is rotate the holder and flip the tom upside down to access the head underneath.
