Since it first appeared in 1992, the Bogner Ecstasy head has become one of the most coveted valve amplifiers of all time. Here, the Mini edition of the Ecstasy isolates the infamous Red Channel, so you're getting the solid crunch and high-gain lead sound that made the original icon so sought after. While the dimensions are tight and the weight is as light as it gets, inside the immediately familiar housing lies a 30-Watt-strong Class-D power amplifier and you still get access to an on-board effects loop, making the Ecstasy Mini a solid partner on stage, in the studio or even at home.

The Bogner Ecstasy Mini: An Easy Setup

Next to your bread-and-butter gain, volume and three-band EQ controls, the main panel features a few extra mini-switches, including a Variac switch that can be flipped to dictate the headroom and response; a Gain switch that can be toggled between Crunch and Overdrive mode as preferred; and, to support mix-puncturing solos, the three-way Mid Freq switch can simply be flipped into high mode. To finish, a Pre EQ switch has also been provided, so the treble output can be shifted from mild to aggressive, completing a surprisingly flexible little amp head.
