Ashdown RM-500-EVO-III Bass Amplifier Head

Right from the start, the Ashdown RM-500-EVO-III bass amplifier head comes with every one of the signature Ashdown features: a solid housing, a tight look and, above all, massive sound. This amp simply hands bassists full control over a detailed and responsive five-band equaliser, a compressor, overdrive, and input and output volume, all tweaked via a tactile and intuitive set of controls with a satisfying seventies-era feel. Even the Ashdown Sub Harmonic Generator has been included: a smart effect that extracts the lowest frequencies from the output, leaving a deep yet defined bass sound. To support solo rehearsals, this model also comes fitted with a line input with a dedicated volume control and a headphone output.

Innovative Simulations

The new addition of the Analogue Cab SIM DI offers an unprecedented array of options when it comes to PA connection and monitoring. You can send your sound directly out via the balanced DI, or you could take advantage of some extra filters to hone your live sound. Simulations of 10 inch and 15 inch speakers are supplied, as well as a horn function for giving the trebles more emphasis. While this feature is great for optimising the FOH sound, it's also really handy for personalising your monitor sound or your in-ear monitor sound. Basically, this amplifier gives you a lot, and all without having to dig through a mess of digital menus.
