Featuring a 10-ply European maple shell plus all of the perks that come with a PDP Drums design, the Concept Black Wax Maple snare responds with more-than satisfying clarity and definition. This edition features a 13 inch diameter and 7 inch depth, so you're getting a compact diameter as well as plenty of depth. Lower tunings result in a fat and impacting snare sound while higher tunings result in a sweet snap that's supported by plenty of low-end. This model comes finished in Satin Black with an extra wax seal coating that allows the wood grain to show through and comes kitted out with DW True Pitch Tension Rods that feature an extra 50 screw threads per square inch, so the tuning system on this snare boosts the accuracy, precision and control.
