The Arturia DrumBrute is a new classic and this version, the DrumBrute Creation, is a limited edition model with a stylish metallic black housing. It's a powerful, fully analogue drum synthesizer that will take your beats to the next level whether you're at home, in the studio or on the stage. For ultimate creativity, menus and presets have been left behind. Instead, you get 17 analogue drum and percussion sounds, unique effects, and an advanced step sequencer to play with. The Arturia DrumBrute is inuitive, easy to use, and gives you virtually limitless possibilities.
DrumBrute Creation
The DrumBrute has 17 top-quality, pure analogue sounds consisting of kick 1, kick 2, snare, clap, rim/claves, closed hat, open hat, tom/conga hi, tom/conga low, cymbal/rev cymbal, maracas/tamb and zap. Thanks to the built-in controls, it's possible to create new and unique sounds based on the existing ones. With 64 patterns each with up to 64 steps, there's plenty of space for your creativity. Adding accents to drum sounds, creating wild effects with step repeats, linking patterns together in song mode, adding swing and randomness pattern effects per instrument and looping patterns to repeat beats are just some of the possibilities.
Connections
On the back of the DrumBrute, you'll find more connections than you can shake a stick at. No matter what equipment you have, chances are the DrumBrute will work with it. There are connectors for USB, MIDI in/out, clock in/out, a mix output and headphone sockets. There are also 12 individual outputs for drum tracks. Bought the drumbrute because the price was irresistable from bax. When i first tried it i wasnt sure,but once it was running through my mixer -wow this is the best drum machine i have ever owned - its really well made ,sounds great and its really easy to complete a track with variations with the randomize function - which works really well. - I am able to output all the sounds individually and i cant believe how much they have packed in for the price !
I bought this along with a Microfreak and a minibrute 2S as I had been curious about Arturia gear for a while but never took the leap, well as it was Christmas coming up and my wife never knows what to buy me I bought these on her behalf for me. (shes good like that) Im so glad I/we did, I love this drum machine, the sounds are punchy and can be tweaked to perfection, I imagine using this live would be great also. I am still finding my way around all the new gear but so far I have had many a late night and am enjoying every minute of it. I wish there were more hours in a day!!!
Très bon rapport qualité/prix avec un excellent rendu des sons et des réglages directs par potentiomètres.
Le point faible est dans l'utilisation comme synthé piloté via MIDI IN par un logiciel type Band In A Box. Drumbrute ne joue pas les notes MIDI envoyées à partir d'une partition de batterie. Il suit la structure du morceau, le style et la carrure mais recompose la partie Drums à sa guise et selon ses propres patterns. Il est peut-être possible de lui faire jouer les notes MIDI d'une partition de batterie. Si c'est le cas, alors la documentation est déficiente concernant le paramétrage de Drumbrute utilisé en module MIDI SOUND EXPANDER.
Bon son, surtout avec les sorties séparées.
Mon problème est qu'on ne peut pas assigner une source externe sur le filtre cutoff, celà aurait vraiment été classe..
et il fonctionne que sur l'output mix et n'a pas d'effet sur les sorties séparées...
Envie de bricoler la bête !

Première impression : très belle machine en cette édition spéciale, robuste, côtés en bois, le reste en métal. Les boutons rotatifs comme les autres sont de bonne qualité. Concernant le son : très bien, on retrouve le son analogique des anciennes BAR et tous les réglages possibles pour chaque instrument (kick, snare...). Facile a prendre en main, on peut créer facilement et rapidement des patterns. Connexions très complètes (midi, individuelles...). Je pense me prendre quelques effets pour agrémenter encore le son, l'avantage des sorties individuelles pour quasi chaque instrument. Très content de mon achat. Arturia reste une valeur sûre !!!
Hey, ik ben héél blij met de drumbrute, brute is hij zeker, als je graag vuile beats maakt, is dit de drumcomputer, de cequenser is in beatstep pro stijl, top , top , en alle instrumenten hebben een aparte uitgang, je kan er alle kanten mee op,,,,

Lots of research, procrastination and even more research i finally brought the DrumBrute.
Bax-Shop Music awesomely price so i went for it :-)
It turned up within a matter of days and was well wrapped and packed, it even included an extra EU - UK power socket adapter which is really good quality it wasn't need tho as Arturia supply a power supply with several interchangeable prongs.
The DrumBrute itself if easy to use, well laid out and extremely well made.
Having only just scratched the surface it is both simple and complex with out having to read the manual to start out for some is a bonus while others like myself enjoy reading manuals which is extremely well written and detailed.
The Sound is both unique but familiar without being tedious. Thunderous but Peaceful. The possibility's for Sound Design And Musical Exploration are only limited by your imagination.
Added extras like Polyrythms, Individual track Swing, Individual Outs for FX or Clean, Randomize and the STEINER PARKER FILTER plus so much more.
