The combined forces of Tech 21 and Geddy Lee from Rush have been crammed into the neat form of the YYZ Sansamp preamp. A compact version of the GED-2112 rack unit, this bass preamp will now fit on your pedalboard, putting the very best sounds of this master bassist at your feet and in a cool Sansamp Character stompbox housing.

The Geddy Lee YYZ Sansamp: Tight, Low, and a Layer of Drive

It's not just the die-hard Rush fans that are likely to fall for this preamp. Essentially two preamps in one, a Mix pot is provided for blending and finding your preferred sweet spot, while the Deep pot gives you more than enough bottom-end, and you also get an entire Drive section for tweaking the high-end and adding a nice layer of overdrive. To get a pure Geddy Lee sound, simply start with all the controls turned to the extreme left, then start gradually dialing to the right to start shaping your unique tone. The Tight pot, meanwhile, does precisely what it says, by tightening up your bass tone, and the Drive pot is just as self-explanatory and can be pushed all the way for a fat, thick drive. And, for the all-important finishing touch, a three-band EQ is also included.
