With their relatively high-pitched sound and brilliant attack, piccolo snares often make for great secondary snare drums. However, the Pearl M1330 Maple Piccolo snare drum has a great tuning latitude, so tuning it to be your main snare won't be a problem. The M1330 has a 6-ply maple shell that gives the drum its warm tone, while its 13-inch diameter and 3-inch depth provide it with a sharp attack.

I had been thinking of getting a piccolo snare for some time and finally decided to bite the bullet and settled on the Pearl M1330 due to seeing great reviews and videos online.
BAX had the most competitive price and was in stock so it seemed the perfect choice of supplier as I wanted it sooner than later.
It was delivered on time and packaged well.
I tried out at a rehearsal with one of my bands a few days later and have to say it delivered everything I was looking for and is a lot more versatile than I thought it would be.
Well made, good finish and sound is perfect (tight when you want it and good tuned up or down)
