The 15mm-thick body, for instance, is made of tulip poplar and carefully carved on the inside to enhance its sound.

Behind the distinct, ergonomically shaped Indian heartwood frontplate, you will find 16 adjustable snare wires. You can adjust the tension of these snare wires with two separate tuning screws, giving this cajon a highly dynamic sound. The AE-CAJ9 Artisan cajon also features an extra Sound Port Ring for excellently balanced compression.
