Supro 1964 Reissue Series 1606 Super 5W 1x8
General
The Supro 1964 Reissue Series 1606 Super 5-watt tube amp combo has a volume control only, so the complete tonal range of the tube amp is audible. To add nuanced tonal character to your sound, you can make use of two inputs: hi and lo, which produce more or less gain, respectively.
1606 Super: solid foundation
A straightforward amp like this one needs a solid foundation, which is definitely the case with the 1606 Super. The preamp consists of one 12AX7 for that classic tube sound and a 6V6 in the power amp. The latter sounds relatively clean, which means the 1606 Super is also suitable for use with effects pedals. The speaker is an 8-inch Supro SS8. If you're after a no-nonsense tube sound with plug-and-play functionality? Then look no further than the Supro 1964 Reissue Series 1606 Super!

Great amplifier. Top quality construction and components, portable and loud, too loud for 5w. The tone is incredible, the two inputs give variety of sounds. Far superior to the Fender 57 Custom Champ and the best of low wattage amplifiers in current production. Less is more, thanks Supro!
