This conga certainly is a sight to behold. With the HTC10WB-M Headliner Traditional Designer Series conga, Meinl delivers a gorgeous instrument with a fantastic sound. This 10-inch conga, or nino, is made of Brazilian rubberwood that is grown on a special plantation in order to spare the environment. A specially hand-selected buffalo hide is used to make the 10-inch drumhead that goes on top of the 28-inch-deep shell. Its sound is distinctly Cuban, with powerful bass, an impressive mid range and clear trebles.

HTC10WB-M: Cuban classic

The conga is often used in Latin American music styles such as salsa and meringue. Especially in Cuban styles, the conga is often part of the extensive rhythm section of a band. Meinl gave this instrument a great finish, aptly named Cubano Retro, with three decorative black bands over a walnut-brown shell. The hoops and the protective rubber base are also finished in black. The conga also comes with a black stand that is very easy to set up, thanks to its special design.
