General
The Tascam DA-3000 is an advanced, professional master recorder capable of making stereo recordings in both PCM and DSD format. The DA-3000 is a solid-state recorder can record to SD as well as CompactFlash card. A front-mounted USB connector enables you to make backups to flash drives or external hard drives, or to play back files from connected devices. The recorder is able to make remarkably defined recordings at a maximum of 192 kHz/24 bits (PCM) or 5.6 MHz (DSD).
The Tascam DA-3000: DSD and PCM
With the DA-3000, Tascam offers a professionally applicable device that can be used for the realisation of Super Audio CDs thanks to the Direct Stream Digital (DSD) format. In jazz and classical music in particular, this format is often used for additional spatial definition. Of course the DA-3000 is also capable of making PCM recordings, which allows you to select a recording resolution from 44.1 to 192 kHz. The NE5532 OP-Amp and BurrBrown PCM4202 AD converter ensure optimal sound quality.
Professional Overview
The Tascam recorder is remarkably compact, featuring a rack height of 1 U and only the absolutely essential operating controls, for a clean control panel. Additionally, an included remote control allows for wireless control and the clear OLED display, aided by a number of LED VU meters, shows you the necessary status information and provides a clear overview. For even more control options, a keyboard can be connected via a special USB connector located at the front. The DA-3000 is perfect for use in music and media production, producing crystal-clear DSD recordings and offering the familiar Tascam reliability.

Het bovenstaande review heeft mij lang doen aarzelen , maar uiteindelijk toch laten komen.
Omdat ik een home studio heb , wil ik zeker geen brommende of krakende geluiden hierin.
Tascam is voor mij al tientallen jaren een begrip dus heb ik hem maar is aan de tand gevoeld.
Het is even de beschrijving doorlezen en dan een opname maken , schitterend en echt een goede
aankoop , mijn conclusie is zeer tevreden , ik raad hem ook iedereen aan .
Bax had het deze keer goed verpakt .
Komende van een DV-RA1000 wilde ik een DA-3000 omdat die minder plaats inneemt en iets sneller en gemakkelijker werkt dan de DVD+RWs in de 1000.
Twee minpunten:
1) de transformator is rommel: bromt extreem luid, zelfs via een DC-filter, en dat wordt nog erger gemaakt door het stalen deksel dat vrolijk meeratelt. Denk maar niet deze recorder ergens in de opnameruimte te kunnen zetten. Ik ruil hem niet in omdat ik bijna zeker weet dat het merendeel van de DA-3000s dit probleem heeft.
2) de verzendverpakking was miniem: een te kleine doos van Bax errond, langs onder geen bescherming, langs boven een laagje luchtzakjes. De buitendoos hing zowat in flarden toen het toestel aankwam. Door dom geluk was er geen verdere schade. Dat kan en moet beter.

This is a truly great piece of kit! Very flexible yet pretty straightforward to use. Takes any digital or analogue input and records to SD or CF card. As easy to use as an old cassette deck, but the recordings are superb. The DACs and ADCs are really good and the headphone amp is pretty good too. It's easy to take different sample rates and compare them, likewise compare DSD recordings to PCM (e.g. from vinyl records or microphone live input) and take backups of the recordings on USB sticks. It's really tough to tell the recording from the source, even at the lower sample rates. Absolutely fantastic, I would thoroughly recommend this.
