Ik had de snaren gratis gekregen van BAX klantendienst om uit te proberen.
Tot nu toe speelde ik met D'addario, Ernie Ball 2150 en als laatste met Martin Strings MA530 Authentic Acoustic SP Phosphor Bronze.
Dit is mijn fingerpicking gitaar en ik moet toegeven dat de Savarez A140XL mij betoveren, de samenwerking met het gerijpt massief spruce bovenblad is schitterend, nog ietsje beter dan de Martin MA530.
Dit geeft een heldere klank over alle snaren
Deze gitaar gebruik ik niet voor "strumming" met plectrum daar heb ik een massief ceder/blackwood Cort GA5F BW combinatie ook van bij Bax. Daar ga ik de standaard 012-053 wisselen voor de Martins Retro 011 of 012 en zien wat dat geeft. De toon is hier iets "mellower", vermits ik met deze gitaar begeleid hoeft die niet te sprankelen in de hogere frekwenties maar af een toe een fill in doet die zonder problemen.
