The Nord Electro 4 SW73 is a professional stage piano from the fourth series of Clavia Nord. This rewarding instrument is, in a sense, a combination of its two colleagues, which we can see from its supple semi-weighted waterfall keyboard that the 4D also features. In addition to that, this instrument has plenty of memory for piano samples and other libraries from the 4 HP, as well as the octave of extra keys and the digital instead of physical drawbars. Its range goes from F to F.
SW73: natural sound
With so much piano memory, you can count on a convincing piano experience. You have plenty of options to choose from, such as whether you want the sound of an upright or grand piano model. But the realism isn't just in the samples; thanks to the String Resonance function, the resonance that you get from the strings surrounding the ones your playing is also simulated. You are also free to download new sample libraries from the Nord website and easily exchange the sounds from your Electro 4 via the Nord Sound Manager for Mac and Windows.
Organ and effect sections
As we can see from the waterfall keyboard and the 9 drawbars, the Nord 4 SW73 lends itself outstandingly to intricate organ work. You could choose the Hammond B3 sounds, or go crazy with the Vox Continental and Farfisa Compact Deluxe organs. In addition, the SW73 offers Key Click emulation and a Rotary Speaker simulation with an excellent overdrive. Finally, you can get creative with a sizeable effect section for giving your sound the perfect touch.
