General
The LTD EC-407 SWS (Snow White Satin) is a beautiful, white, 7-string guitar. It is the perfect instrument for serious metal guitarists who like to dive a good bit lower than the traditional low E string, without sacrificing the standard 6-string tuning. To give the low B string a neat and clear sound (an aspect that many 7-strings have to do without) the EC-407 was equipped with an EMG 707 in addition to the familiar, transparent-sounding EMG 81.
EC-407: optimised for fast metal
The LTD EC-407 is fine-tuned for furious metal playing. There's the arched body that rests comfortably between your body and right arm so you can devote all your attention to playing. Another great feature to enhance this guitar's playing comfort is its slender neck - you will instantly notice how easy it is for your left hand to move rapidly along the fretboard. Additionally, this guitar features extra-jumbo frets to minimise contact between fingers and fretboard for exceptionally smooth bends.

Reeds deze gitaar netjes aangeleverd in een goede verpakking ontvangen van bax-shop.
De EC-407 is een mooie gitaar in het totaal. Al heeft deze wel een paar schoonheidsfoutjes, zoals de afwerking van inlays (ruim uitgefreesd en opgevuld met hars), de slordig afgewerkte gaten van de elementen (met zwarte verf bijgewerkt), en de kleur die niet egaal is.
De EC-407 speelt erg goed en blijft tijdens het spelen goed gestemd. Wel is er wat lichte onbalans tussen de body en hals, al mag dit bijna niet genoemd worden. De klank moet je van houden. Zelf vind ik dat de EMG elementen weinig definitie hebben, maar de kan ook komen door de naar mijn mening te dunne snaren en mijn voorkeur voor PAF elementen van Dimarzio. Ze klinken wel erg METALLLL op een rectifier achtige amp.
Over het geheel voor het geld een goede gitaar, die het proberen de moeite waard is.
