The first thing you'll notice about the S5520K is the eye-catching Australian Blackwood top. In terms of looks and sound, this acacia wood type is very similar to Koa. That's why Ibanez has named the natural finish Koa Brown. Underneath the top, the body is made of mahogany with a solid 5-piece neck that is bolted on. The neck is made of maple and walnut that, in combination with the titanium truss rod, is very stable. Overall, the basic sound is warm and acoustic with a pleasant growl in the mid tones.
