It is genius, we have to admit. We were already familiar with the concept of portable discos thanks to ION's Party Rocker. The newer ION Block Party Bluetooth speaker with light show soldiers on across this path and packs some rather interesting surprises in its knapsack. The core of the thing is still the convenient combination of a Bluetooth speaker and a light-effect dome, making it the perfect tool for travelling entertainers. Even the dullest neighbourhood party lights up with the decorative colour show from the transparent dome. Naturally, you can also use the Block Party for family parties, garden parties, school parties, etc.
New in the Block Party
Travelling entertainers can rejoice in the glory of the Party Block's latest additions. Its wheels, combined with the retractable handle, turn the whole gizmo into a trolley case, making it a lot easier to take with you - especially if you're carrying some more bags or cases. Another function that mobile entertainers are bound to revel in is the fact that the Block Party comes with a battery. Fully charged, this battery allows for about 75 hours of music, or 7 if you also use the lights. Either way, more than enough for a proper party.
The Block Party's potential
Just think of all the people you'll be able to entertain with the Block Party - on a dark square at a Christmas festival, for instance - just put it down, stream your music from your iPad, iPod, iPhone or Android via Bluetooth. Connect a microphone and you can really get the karaoke party started. The atmosphere is immediately enhanced by the way the light shines through the dome and the way it responds to the music. The powerful (50W peak) amplifier makes sure you're heard. The Bluetooth streaming will work up to a distance of 30 metres, which is handy if you have someone in the background to operate the music.

Wat een super speaker is het. Eerst nog twijfelen of ik er wel 229,- voor over had, uiteindelijk toch maar gekocht. De speaker is het meer dan dubbel waard. Ontzettend goede accu heeft de speaker, zelfs met lamp haal ik toch een goede dag met de accu (van 11:00 tot 23:30). Het geluid en bluetooth is ook goed voor een accu speaker.
Het meest verbaasde ben ik over de lamp, die is echt ontzettend fel voor een lamp op een accu speaker.
En ja je gaat 's avonds met vrienden ergens chille buiten je zet het lampje aan en meteen alles wordt verlicht en iedereen die voorbij komt kijkt met verbazing wat er staat.
Echt een top speaker dus!!
