A System 100 for cheap? You bet! Behringer help make it possible with the 172 Phase Shifter/Delay/LFO module. This phase-shifting Eurorack unit combines a kind of length-adjustable comb filter with a type of BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) delay for nice-and-warm sound, but it also serves up a gate delay and a straightforward LFO complete with frequency, output and inverted output - all if which are highly practical additions to any modular synthesizer.

Well, compared with some popular effect stompboxes this module performs not as strong. It is rather tame and mild, nothing exceptional, almost boring, even with the knobs at the max. Sorry Behringer, but that is my personal experience.
Het is een vrij grote module, voor sommigen te veel HP, maar bij mij geen probleem, en ik hou wel van de grotere knoppen. Hij doet wat ie moet doen, en het is dus geen delay, maar een vintage phaser en flanger met ingebouwde basic LFO.

It’s not really a delay effect, it’s a flanger, but I knew that before purchase. So it’s basically a vintage analogue phaser and flanger that are useful for fattening up single oscillators. Loses a star because the effected level is noticeably lower than the unaffected level.
