- Red Witch Zeus pedal Bass Fuzz Suboctave
Red Witch Zeus pedal Bass Fuzz Suboctave
General
For bassists with a preference for feisty fuzz, Red Witch offers the Zeus Bass Fuzz Suboctave effects pedal. Have you always wanted to be able to produce wild, pulsating bass sounds with your electric bass guitar? This king of fuzz gods delivers a natural silicon fuzz and a suboctave sound of epic proportions! The Zeus was modelled after Red Witch's renowned Fuzz God II, a guitar pedal that was a great hit among bass players. To truly cater to bassists' need for a full frequency response, however, Red Witch have now created the Zeus. Like its guitar counterpart, this analogue fuzz suboctave stomp box treats you to lively, organic fuzz and octave sounds. The rich, low tone of this analogue pedal may even appeal to discerning guitarists.
Zeus Fuzz Suboctave: distortion and octave
The fuzz sound of the Zeus stomp box is based on two silicon BC109 transistors. The pedal's Fuzz knob determines the level of distortion, while the Fuzz Mix knob controls the balance between the clean and the effect signal. Turn it towards the right, and the level of fuzz increases. Turn the Sputter knob down, and a noise gate lowers the threshold of the second transistor. The lower the value, the more staccato the Zeus Fuzz Suboctave's output becomes. A toggle switch on the left (marked with a lightning bolt) allows you to double the gain, while a toggle switch on the right (market with an ear) enables you to boost the trebles. This Red Witch stomp box doesn't just give you all the fuzz you need, it also delivers a natural suboctave sound. Again, the Octave Mix knob allows you to determine the balance between the clean signal and the suboctave signal. As both effects have their own foot switch, you're able to use both organic sounds at the same time, or trigger them individually.
Red Witch pedals
Red Witch is a small company from New Zealand that offers a range of high-grade analogue effects pedals. It was originally founded by Ben Fulton, who had a predilection for analogue pedals with a natural, top-quality output. Combining high-grade technology with artful housings, Red Witch pedals are truly loved by guitarists and bassists who share the same passion. If you count yourself among them, you'll certainly be able to appreciate these high-end stomp boxes. Red Witch's original designs will inspire you visually as well as sonically, taking your performance to the next level. Each stomp box is tested by Ben Fulton himself, to ensure you always get the best possible quality.
