Where most Superstrats feature a double locking Floyd Rose tremolo unit, this hard-tail (HT) model comes with a fixed bridge. As far as its other features are concerned, it's another great example of a classic Charvel Superstrat! Versatile, high-performance instrument

At the core of the Charvel San Dimas 1 HH lie an alder body and maple neck. This combination of wood types guarantees a balanced overall sound that lays a great foundation for the two Seymour Duncan humbuckers to build upon. As the neck is also fitted with a maple fretboard, the trebles are brighter than ever, while the compound radius makes the guitar equally suitable for low riffs and fast leads on the high frets. Furthermore, while the Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 and '59 humbuckers are quite versatile to begin with, these models even feature a coil-split function. Clearly, the Charvel San Dimas HH HT in Metallic Black offers an incredibly elaborate tonal palette.

Charvel

In the '70s, Wayne Charvel made a name for himself by equipping ST-style guitars with high-output humbuckers, more slender necks and tremolo bridges that could better handle intense playing. In doing so, he answered the call for guitars with a comfortable Strat-style body that were fit for the heavier stuff. And thus, the Superstrat was born: a high-gain performance machine with a familiar ST-style body. Many decades later, everything came full-circle when the Charvel brand was taken over by Fender, now delivering high-performance Superstrats that were more authentic than ever before.
