Kiss fans will be delighted to see Epiphone present the fourth Tommy "Spaceman" Thayer signature model Les Paul. This electric guitar has been developed in honour of Kiss' final End of the Road tour and comes with all of that trusted playing feel while sporting an ecstatic Electric Blue finish. Besides a striking paint job and as befits a signature model, it's been graced with more visual characteristics, including the mirrored scratch plate, nickel-plated neck humbucker cover and engraved truss rod cover. Even the pot knob covers and the included Custom EpiLite case come coated in a matching blue! Epiphone have, of course, mounted two passive Seymour Duncan JB humbuckers so you can loudly showcase your rendition of timeless classics like 'Deuce', 'Detroit Rock City' and 'Rock and Roll All Nite'. To prove it's the real thing, a certificate of authenticity is part of the deal too.

Deze gitaar is niet enkel voor fans van KISS een mooie aanwinst maar voor elke gitarist die niet als een muurbloempje op het podium wil staan. In het echt is de gitaar vele malen mooier dan op de foto. De holografische flakes sprankelen geweldig. Ook de afwerking van de gitaar is helemaal goed. De mijne kwam ook volledig goed afgesteld, enkel de intonatie op de G-snaar aangepast (maar bij welke gitaar is dat niet het geval ;-). Met 2 Seymour Duncan JB4 pickups is het geluid ook helemaal in orde. Een halve toon lager gestemd en via mijn buizenversterker 1-op-1 het KISS gitaar geluid. Logisch, aangezien het dezelfde gitaar is de Thayer ook regelmatig gebruikt. Ik heb lang getwijfeld of ik deze gitaar zou kopen maar geen seconde spijt van mijn aankoop. Enig minpuntje is dat de lak niet helemaal UV bestendig is. Bij het wisselen van de snaren valt op dat de onder de brug, etc de lak veel blauwer is. De rest lijkt wat paarser geworden. Geen groot probleem, wel een aandachtspunt.
Ziet er in het echt nog 10x vetter uit n de klank is legendarisch

Heb deze gitaar nu bijna 2 jaar en ben zeer tevreden. De Seymour-Duncan JB4 pickups zijn perfect voor rock en metal en de holoflake body ziet er in het echt nog veel beter uit dan op fotos. Een echte showsteler. De professionele kwaliteit van een Gibson custom shop(€4000) voor een redelijke prijs van slechts €800, uitgebracht door het kleine zusje van Gibson en de enige die officieel samenwerkt en onderdeel is van Gibson.
