Fans of Powerstrats will very likely be chuffed to bits with this Mexican Standard Stratocaster. It's equipped with two single-coils and one humbucker - three pickups that ensure numerous different sounds, making this guitar perfectly suited for various types of music. Naturally, this guitar's range of sounds includes the familiar Fender tones. Another great aspect of this guitar is its remarkably friendly price tag. As these instruments are made in Mexico, their price is low, while their sound and looks are of the same high level as those of their American brethren.
Fender Mexican Standard Stratocaster HSS Floyd RW BLK: dark body
Like most Fender Strats, this guitar features an alder body, ensuring a sound that's as neutral as possible, allowing you to determine the overall tone via the pickups. When the 5-way pickup switch is in the bottom position, the bridge humbucker functions as a standard humbucker. Go up one position and the bridge pickup turns into a single-coil combined with the middle pickup, allowing you to enjoy the fierce bridge sound and sparkling single-coil tones.
Electronics and hardware
Contrary to conventional Strats, this guitar sports a Floyd Rose tremolo that allows for awesome bends and incredible dive bombs. To keep the guitar in tune, it features special locking tuners. Two tone knobs allow you to fully adjust the tone to your liking, and a 5-position pickup switch lets you choose which pickup configuration you would like to employ. Naturally a volume control is also present, allowing for subtle tone alterations - just like on other guitars with passive electronics. The chrome-plated hardware is the cherry on top!

Deze besteld bij Bax maar wel in Candy Red, alleen vanwege de prijs die 70 euro lager was. Ik ben niet zo Fender minded maar deze gitaar verraste mij door zijn lekkere sound, en ook door zijn goede bespeelbaarheid. Klinkt lekker punchy in de tussenstanden en ook de diepe tonen zijn fijn gedefenieerd. Voor dit geld een hele fijne gitaar die naar mijn mening beter klinkt dan een fender uitgerust met Texas Special enkelspoels-elementen die ik ook besteld had. De Floyd Rose tremolo geeft ook echt toegevoegde waarde. Enig minpunt is dat de humbucker niet gesplit kan worden maar Bax kan dit aanpassen voor een heel schappelijk bedrag.
