The American guitarist and producer, Troy Van Leeuwen has stamped out an incomparable career with his work as part of Queens of the Stone Age and A Perfect Circle. One of his go-to instruments is a Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster. Joining forces with Fender, they serve up a stunner of a signature model and aptly named it the Fender Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster. The effortlessly stylish shape of this solid-body has been coated in a metallic Copper Age finish before being topped with a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard and a pair of witch-hat pots - just to ensure a touch of contrast. Naturally, a deluxe hard case also comes included.

The Fender Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster: Trusted Feel, Tough Tone and... Mustang Saddles?

Since it does such a good job when building standard Strats and Teles, alder has been used to shape the body, while the maple neck and 21-fret maple fretboard have been perfected with a nonchalant set of black block position markers. The neck has been given that familiar feeling C-profile treatment and the truss rod can be accessed from the heel. The Jazzmaster bridge has a vintage-style tremolo tailpiece, while a surprising set of nickle-plated brass Mustang saddles finish it off.

Rhythm, Lead and Soapbar Singlecoils

The Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster has been gifted with two tone circuits: Rhythm and Lead. Flip between them using the provided two-way switch that replaces the usual slide-switch. The pair of American Vintage '65 Jazzmaster soapbar pickups can be switched three-ways and combine that unmistakable humbucker warmth, (due to that all-important extra winding that comes with a soapbar) and that bright, feral single-coil bite with a more than satisfying tonal attitude.
