So, this double-cut model still bears the iconic set of horns while the mahogany body has been rounded-off a little more; softening it up for enhanced playing comfort. The long tenon, set-in mahogany neck is finished with the familiar feel of a 12 inch radius rosewood fretboard, and completes a fully assured acoustic tonal foundation, while a pair of Alnico II-based humbuckers offer way more than just a vintage vibe.

The double-coiled 490T at the bridge serves the meaty tone demanded by tight riffs and fat chords while the 490R at the neck adds a rich touch of cream and refined definition. The wide range of sweet, medium-gain tone that results is smoothly navigated using the three-way selector switch and a set of volume and tone pots per pickup.
