With the RGDIX7MPB, Ibanez proves that a metal guitar doesn't have to be black. This 7-string RGD has a striking poplar burl top with a dreamy Surreal Blue Burst Finish. With bevels that show off the body's natural colour and a birdseye maple neck that contrast with the colourful finish, this Ibanez certainly stands out. This particular model comes tuned in A, with strings ranging from .010 to .059 in gauge, giving the guitar a nice, heavy sound and a focused feel.
RGDIX7MPB: quality components
Thanks to the ultra-thin yet very stable 3-piece maple/bubinga Nitro Wizard-7 neck, your hand will effortlessly fly up and down the fretboard. What's more, you won't have to worry about tuning stability, as the fixed Gibraltar Standard II-7 bridge and Gotoh MG-T Locking Tuners have got that covered. Finally, there's the passive DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers, which provide plenty of punch and clarity to help that low A string shine.
Ibanez RGD Series
If you live and breathe metal music, you'll need a guitar that was designed from the ground up for playing heavy types of music. The RGD series models, for instance, come with a 26.5" scale, allowing for plenty of tension on the strings, even if you like playing in lower tunings. Thanks to the extra deep cutaways, all 24 jumbo frets are easy to access. From top to bottom, the Ibanez RGD was developed to be the ultimate metal machine.

Perfecte 7-snaar voor die prijs. Mooie afwerking van de body en de hals voelt zeker niet lomp aan.

Je ne la lâche plus... Elle est magnifique (le birdeyes du manche est juste à tomber sur la mienne), très bonne finition, les micros sont vraiment sympa (même si je les remplacerais surement par des Fishman Fluence à l'avenir), facile à jouer (une fois réglée correctement).
2 petits points faible je dirais : le réglage d'usine pas top (les cordes sont beaucoup trop hautes pour une guitare de ce genre) et le fait qu'elle soit livré sans étui/gigbag.
Sinon rien à dire... Je l'adore.
