General
Part of Ibanez's modern AE Series, the AE140 electro-acoustic guitar features an all-okoume build, including a solid soundboard that, just like the body, has a satin-gloss open-pore finish for a natural look and feel to match. The Comfort Grip nyatoh neck, meanwhile, has been polished off with a laurel fretboard that has a relatively flat, 15.75" radius and 20 jumbo frets for eased riffing.
The AE140: A.I.R.Port
The full, warm and woody sound of the Ibanez AE140 is projected by a standard soundhole and a special A.I.R. port in the upper bout. As a result, you can more clearly hear what you're playing, which enhances the overall playing experience. Specially-developed X-M bracing ensures optimum vibrational transfer from the bridge to the body and a satisfying response. Equipped with an in-house-developed AEQ-TP2 preamp, a T-bar undersaddle pickup and a tuner, this gig-ready guitar is perfect for serious players.
