The Ibanez Artwood Series AW1040CE electro-acoustic dreadnought boasts an open-pore finish in combination with a stable, modern construction, making this guitar feels like home from the start. Compared to other Artwood offerings, the special finish and solid okoume soundboard give this model a slightly more resonant acoustic foundation sound.
The AW1040CE: Rich Core Sound Authentically Amplified
The compensated saddle and nut are both made of bone and help enhance the resonance, while the all-okoume body has been teamed up with a set-in nyatoh neck that's been topped with an ovangkol fretboard for a light high-mid and high frequency boost. So the acoustic sound of the AW1040CE can be accurately amplified, Ibanez have mounted an undersaddle T-bar pickup along with a Custom Electronics preamp and a set of fuss-free volume and tone pots.
