The compact and comfortable New Yorker body shape of the Takamine GY11ME-NS electro-acoustic is not that far removed from a parlor style guitar. This model boasts an all-mahogany build, so the sides and back as well as the soundboard have been shaped from this much loved variety of tone wood. The result is a lusciously rich and warm foundation sound that lends perfectly to both finger picking and strumming playing styles, and the body has been coated with a thin satin-gloss to maintain both the visibility of the grain of the wood as well as its natural resonance. Fitted with a Takamine TP4T preamp and a piezo pickup, this guitar can be played unplugged or amplified.
