With the introduction of the Winterleaf Series TW4 E Koa, Tanglewood make it clear that an electro-acoustic guitar topped with koa wood doesn't necessarily have to cost a bomb. Since koa is so-well loved for its ability to shape a blend of the bright transparency of maple with the smooth depth of rosewood, the back and sides have also been made using laminated koa. The body has been coated in a Tobacco Burst finish and mounted with high-quality hardware made by the likes of B-Band, GraphTech and Grover.

Mooi van uiterlijk en een handig formaat. Besteld en snel geleverd door Bax.
Gitaar bekeken en geprobeerd. Zowel de afwerking (vrij slordig) als het geluid vielen me best tegen, ik had er meer van verwacht gezien de omschrijving die er bij staat. Er zit weinig volheid in het geluid (de snaren zijn trouwens ook van mindere kwaliteit, gezien al na een minuutje spelen m'n zwarte vingers), klinkt verder wel vrij helder.
Het ingebouwde element was bij het ontvangen exemplaar van Fishman, terwijl er een B-Band bij de specificaties vermeld stond.
Jammer, maar kortom, weer ingepakt en teruggestuurd (zonder problemen).
Wil je een gitaar die er apart en goed uitziet, dan is dit misschien een aanrader, maar ga je voor goed geluid kun je beter verder kijken.
Levering en service van Bax is prima verder!
